Children Supports: Book Sharing Program

Children Supports started a program designed to promote literacy and sharing among children called "Take a Book, Leave a Book" this winter. The idea is for children to both borrow books from the collection and bring books to program for the other children to read. This is not limited to books, either. The program also includes board and card games for the children to play while at program. Rick Bragg, Children Supports Assistant, initiated the program shortly after he began his work with the agency. Doreen Bouchard heads up the Children Supports program as Program Director.

Donations for this program are welcome; we only ask that the books and games are age and content appropriate for school-aged children. Please drop the books off at our 21 Lombard building, in the Main Office. Please call 762-5591 for more information about Childrens Supports or the "Take a Book, Leave a Book" sharing program.
